  • Kathmandu. Sudhir Nath Pandey, the Deputy CEO of NIC Asia Bank, has tendered his resignation, citing health issues. Pandey, who had returned to work briefly after submitting his resignation, decided to leave the bank permanently due to health concerns.

Following his resignation, Pandey was requested by the bank’s management to reconsider his decision, stating that his departure would impact the bank’s operations negatively. Responding to the management’s plea, he returned to work for a day.

During his brief return, Pandey disputed claims made by NIC Asia Bank, stating that the bank’s operations were not disrupted. However, he did not continue his work beyond that day, indicating his firm decision to step down.

Pandey’s resignation from NIC Asia Bank comes amid speculation following the discovery of various irregularities during a special inspection conducted by regulatory authorities. His departure raises questions about the bank’s stability and management practices.
